- This Minnesota Territory Issue stamp commemorates the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Minnesota Territory. The Minnesota Territory was organized in 1848; the land encompassed an area that included the current state of Minnesota, as well as parts of North and South Dakota. The stamp depicts a pioneer with a Red River ox cart.
