- Description
- This National Capital Sesquicentennial Issue stamp commemorates the 150th anniversary of the establishment of National Capital of Washington, DC. This stamp features the Supreme Court Building. For many years after the capital moved to the District of Columbia, the court met in the Capitol Building. The building was built in 1935 and designed by Cass Gilbert.
