- Description
- This Liberty Issue stamp depicts the Hermitage, located near Nashville, Tennessee, the plantation home of the seventh President of the United States, Andrew Jackson. Jackson represented the state of Tennessee in the House of Representatives and briefly in the Senate. He went on to serve as a commander during the War of 1812 and the First Seminole War. Jackson was elected as President of the United States and served two terms in office.
