- This Wildlife Conservation Issue stamp emphasizes the importance of wildlife conservation in America. Wildlife conservation is the practice of protecting endangered plant and animal species and their habitats. The stamp depicts a pronghorn antelope in a desert. Contrary to the name, the pronghorn is not a true antelope. It is one of the fastest animals in the western hemisphere. The pronghorn antelope live on grasslands and deserts from northern Mexico to southwestern Canada.
