- This Christmas Issue stamp features an image of mistletoe, a small, green-leafed parasitic shrub with waxy berries that grows on host trees. The mistletoe plant is often used in Christmas decorations. It is an old custom that people who stand under a hanging mistletoe plant are obligated to kiss.
