- Description
- This Indiana Statehood Issue stamp commemorates the 150th anniversary of Indiana’s admission into statehood. The Indiana Territory was the first area formed out of the Northwest Territory. The territory obtained statehood in 1816. The stamp features an image of the sesquicentennial seal, map of Indiana with nineteen stars and the old state Capitol Building at Corydon.
