- This Marine Corps Reserve Issue stamp commemorates the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Marine Corps Reserve. They are the reserve force of the United States Marine Corps. The reserve components provide assistance to active duty forces, as well as aid in times of war or national emergency. The stamp features images of Marine soldiers through the years, starting from the Marine Corps’ formation in 1775.
