- The 15-cent Vietnam Veterans regular stamp was first placed on sale at Arlington, Virginia, on November 11, 1979. The stamp was released on Veteran's Day to honor veterans of the Vietnam War.
- Designed by Stevan Dohanos, the stamp was issued in sheets of fifty.
