Object Details
- Description
- This reproduction handstamp is not original. It has 'PATOKA/U.S.S/JUL/4/1925/P.M.' on circular townmark and 'GOVERNERS' CONFERENCE' on killer bar. Marked on wooden base is: 'STAMP WORKS / AUBURN, NEBR.'
- USS Patoka was a fleet oiler for US Navy airships including ZR1 Shenandoah, but this replica was not used on the ship.
- It is unknown when the reprodcution was made (mid twentieth century?) or why (demonstration purposes or creating fakes?).
