25c Flag single
Object Details
- Description
- The 25-cent Flag With Clouds sheet stamp was issued on May 6, 1988, in Boxborough, Massachusetts. The stamp became available at post offices nationwide on the next business day. The official dedication ceremony occurred at the Sheraton Boxborough in conjunction with Philatelic Show '88.
- Like the 22-cent Flag With Fireworks sheet stamp, the Flag with Clouds stamp's full-color design was a reflection of the Postal Service's intention to use brighter colors on many regular issues expected to receive widespread use.
- Designed by Peter Cocci, the stamps were printed in the photogravure process by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing with 100 stamps per pane.
