- Description
- The Postal Service issued the 35-cent Dennis Chavez stamp April 3, 1991, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, as part of the Great Americans Series of stamps. Chavez, who represented New Mexico, was the first American-born Hispanic elected to the United States Senate.
- Designed by Chris Calle, the stamps were engraved through the intaglio process by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, with panes of 100.
