Object Details
- Description
- Two nondenominated "D" postage stamps in pane, booklet, and coil formats were placed on sale February 1, 1985, in Los Angeles, California.
- The value of twenty-two cents reflected the new first-class postage rate effective February 27, 1985. The "D" postage items were intended for domestic use only.
- The stamps were designed by Bradbury Thompson of Riverside, Connecticut, who was also the typographer. Modeler was Frank J. Waslick; engravers were Robert G. Culin, St. (lettering) and Thomas R. Hipschen (vignette). The gravure process was used for the pane stamps and coils, and intaglio for the booklet panes.
