Object Details
- Description
- This 1940 usage of a patriotic cachet preceded the United States entry into the war by almost a year -- see the Easton, Pennsylvania postmark of December 4, 1940. A three-cent United States Scott 901 is affixed. Linprint, Inc. of Columbus, Ohio is the cachet maker. This design was number 208 in Linprint's series. Possibly Sherman number 9456.
