World War II Patriotic cover
Object Details
- Description
- The American eagle (facing right) stands astride the federal shield. A strip of three one-cent United States Scott 899 are tied to the cover by the postmark Buffalo, New York Station G., February 20, 1942. Although the eagle is printed in blue ink, this is very likely a product of Leonard Borkowski of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
