- In a radio broadcast from London, January 14, 1941, a Belgian refugee urged people of all oppressed nations to use the 'V for Victory' sign to undermine the Axis morale."
- The soldier, worker and young woman all display the V for Victory in this cachet by The Advertisers Press of Des Moines, Iowa. The serviceman's cover was sent under Free Franking from Kellogg Field. Postmarked Battle Creek, Michigan, February 11, 1943.
