- A six-cent United States Scott C23 (air mail postage) is affixed to this cover postmarked Buffalo, New York, December 31, 1941. The air mail label -- For Speed Reply By Air Mail -- advertises the commercial flights of TWA (TransWorld Airways) transporting U. S. Mail. The elaborate, four-color cachet of the naval ship is another design by Jacques Minkus (copyright 1940).
