- "Fifty Thousand Planes For National Defense ... Masters Of The Air"
- A high-wing monoplane illustrates this soldier's cover sent under Free Franking and postmarked Jefferson Barracks, Missouri, March 5, 1943. This cachet envelope design was No. 204 in the Linprint, Inc. series of patriotic envelopes. According to George W. Linn (creator of Linprint, Inc.) in his "Catalogue of Patriotic Covers of World War II", Linprint, Inc. of Columbus, Ohio, produced the first patriotic envelopes of the war.
