- The factory worker was a soldier on the home front in this copyright 1942 cachet by Jacques Minkus of New York City. The production of steel for military armament -- ships, tanks, cannons -- was particularly important to the cause. The cover was sent by a serviceman under Free Franking from Greenville, Mississippi, December 2, 1942.
