- A soldier with rifle is at the ready before a stylized American flag in this cachet. The cover was sent under free franking from Scott Field, Belleville, Illinois, July 28, 1942. This is an example of Soldier's Mail. Walter Poppenger of Akron, Ohio, was the cachet publisher.
