- Description
- "Hey! Youse Guys! The Mail's In!"
- This 1942 Porto-Server cachet depicts the excitement associated with receiving mail from family and friends. U.S. stamps, Scott 899 and Scott 900, are affixed to the cover and cancelled by the postmark Charlotte, N.C., February 11, 1943. The boxed slogan, Buy War Savings Bonds and Stamps, acts as the killer. There is a letter (2002.2035.607.2) associated with this cover.
