- Description
- This free frank cover is addressed to former Senator and well known political figure William Rives. Rives later served in the congress of the Confederate States. The cover bears a circular, hand stamped "Post Office Business Free" marking in black and a black circular hand stamped "Richmond, Virginia" cancellation, dated June 30, 1860.
