- Description
- Under a provision in the treaties covering diplomatic mail the United States was allowed to send mail from a foreign country. This cover is from the Office of the Military Attache American Embassy, Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. The cover is stamped "Diplomatic Mail Free" and postmarked May 7, 1936 at 4 p.m. on the ship S.S. Western World, NY and Buenos Aires Post.
