- Description
- From Postal Inspector RR Domros work on 2001 Anthrax case and decontaminations of the Brentwood Processing and Distribution Center (Curseen-Morris), 2001-2003. According to an July 17, 2013 by Domros: "For health reasons, some inspectors received the Anthrax Vaccine and were required to be on antibiotics (Cipro/Doxycycline) for 90 days after the last possible expose to Anthrax, which meant daily doses of medication for 17 months for those working in the "Hot Zone."
- Domros described the equipment in an email, July 17, 2013: "This is one of my actual medicine bottles (with my name and the prescription removed). We started taking Cipro, however, it was later determined that Doxycycline was just as effective as a prophylactic against Anthrax. “Doxy” was not as harsh on the body and less expensive as well. The medication had to be taken twice a day while working on the site and for 90 days after your last entry into the “hot zone” (contaminated building)."
