- Description
- This miniature orchid takes its name from its sheath-like bracts. It looks lovely growing in mats, and has pale yellow flowers that bloom in clusters which look like fireworks.

- In Malacca, Malaysia, juice from the roasted fruit of this orchid was used to cure ear aches.
