- March 27, 1999. Hi Mama, Thanks very much for the birthday card and the chocolate you sent with Aunty Priya. It tastes different than the chocolate here, but just like I remembered it. I wish I could visit again soon, but mommy says that she is not able to get time off work. Mama, can you tell me more about what it is like in Trinidad? How come we are both Indian and Trinidadian? In school yesterday, a boy told me that he didnt believe I was Trinidadian because I dont look like it. Then, he asked me questions about Trinidad and I couldnt answer him. When I ask Ma to tell me more about Trinidad, she said, You American, why you worrying about what other people think? I just want to know about my own history. Love, Rhea
