Notes: Appears in exhibition catalog as entry no. 33; A hill of considerable elevation rising from a picturesque valley; on its summit are two cows and an ass; one cow is standing by a tree, and the other lying down on the cool grass, with the little donkey in affectionate proximity to her; in the foreground is the trunk of a fallen tree, with a luxuriant growth of wild plants and flowers, overhanging a pool of water.
