Summary: These records consist of the files of Harry Lowe, who served the National Museum of American Art in various capacities from 1965 to 1983. Lowe was Curator of Exhibits and Curator, Exhibition and Design, 1965-1972. From 1973 to 1974 he served as Assistant Director for Operations and, from 1975 to 1980, as Assistant Director. In 1981 he held the post of Acting Director; then in 1982, Assistant Director; and in 1983, Deputy Director.; These records consist of files maintained by Harry Lowe in his positions as Curator of Exhibits and Assistant, Acting, and Deputy Director.
