- This accession consists of records documenting the planning of a portion of "Gyroscope," a program of dynamic, frequently changing presentations of the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden's (HMSG) preeminent collection of modern and contemporary art. Documented in this accession is the part of the initial exhibition dedicated to the history of HMSG. The beginning of the exhibition coincided with the thirtieth anniversary of the museum. Materials include correspondence, memoranda, historical timelines, and photocopied historical images.
