- Standing male figure holding a rifle. He wears a campaign hat, shirt with sleeves rolled up above the elbow, trousers and shoes. He grasps the barrel of the rifle with his proper left hand and the butt of the rifle with his proper right hand. A canteen rests on one hip and a haversack on the other, with their straps crisscrossing on his chest.
