- Summary
- A life-size figure of a World War I soldier standing with his proper right hand raised and holding a grenade. In his proper left hand he holds a rifle with a bayonet. He is dressed in a military uniform with a large pack strapped to his back, a steel helmet on his head, a gas mask bag on his chest, an ammunition belt around his waist, and a canteen on the back right side of his belt. By his feet there are two tree stumps. The sculpture is painted mustard yellow and is placed on a granite slab which rests on a sandstone base.
