- Summary
- An acoustical sculpture. The sculpture is built with steel strips one foot wide and ten feet long, spot welded together on the long sides. The work is comprised of two identical sections facing in opposite directions. Each section is made of ten strips welded together and fashioned in a slight arc. A circular strip of steel is welded to the convex side of each piece. The sections are welded together at the center uppermost point and at the base. The curved sections catch and direct the sounds of the nearby streets to an optimum point in front of the concave sections. The welded rings serve to add resonance to the sections as well as support.
