- Summary
- A Spanish-American War soldier stands in uniform. He wears pants tucked into his boots, shirt open at the collar, a high-crowned hat, and an ammunition belt slung around his hips. His proper right hand holds rifle with the barrel pointing upwards, and his proper left hand rests on his hip. The sculpture is mounted on a base with inscribed plaques, including a memorial plaque to the U.S.S. Maine on one side. Before the base is a short retaining wall.
