The upper part of the plaque depicts Daniel Boone, in relief, sitting on a rock, holding a rifle in his right hand and a 'coon' skin cap in his left hand. A dog is on the right. Below the relief of Daniel Boone is a relief map of the Daniel Boone Trail.
