The illustrations are attributed to Androuet du Cerceau; Rene Boyvin (plates 17, 35, 39, and 51 bear his monogram); and others.

SCDIRB copy 39088012118378 has some old ms. ink autographs and inscriptions on the t.p. and on the verso of plate 60 that have been crossed through, erased, or cut away, with the leaves repaired. In the margin of p. [3], there is a modern ms. pencil [SI?] acquisitions note: "Sci. tech., Reichner, 19 Nov. [19]59."
