Colophon: Imprimé à Basle, chez Jean Schweighauser, avec des caractères de la fonderie du Sr. Guillaume Haas.
Text in double columns.
Armorial title vignette, engraved after Lamine; allegorical title-vignettes on half t.p. for each part. Most of the engravings throughout were done under the supervision of Christian von Mechel.
Illustrations: plates numbered A-D: an allegory of the Duke of Wurtemberg engraved in 1776 by B. Hübner, after Nicolas Guibal; a floor plan of the gallery, unsigned and undated; a view of the facade, engraved in 1776 by Philipp Gottfried Pintz; a plate depicting several works by Gerhard Joseph Karsch père, engraved in 1775. Plates numbered I-XIX are dated 1775 or 1776. All plates were printed in Basel.
Includes index on p. [33]-44 of the final page grouping.
