Notes
"Cette chanson, qui obtint un grand succès aux Variétés en 1850, était une satire dirigée contre l'Omnibus-ballon de M. Pétin"
"Devoilée par Mlle. Flore aux Variétés"
Illustrated title page shows a flying omnibus carrying passengers and a conductor with a horn announcing its arrival at Station du Mont-Blanc. Words on the front of the omnibus read, "Tour du monde en 48 heures," and it has a pennant labeled "L'Hirondelle." There is a shed on the ground labeled "Bureau de correspondance" and two men watching for the arriving omnibus. A passing bird has snatched something away from one of the passengers sitting by a window. Signed "Bouchot." "Imp. Bertauts. R. St. marc, 14"
Page [2] has the score for voice and piano with the text of the chorus and first verse. Page [3] has text to be spoken and words and melody for verses 2 and 3 and the last iteration of the chorus
For voice and piano
