- Description
- One of the treasures on display at the National Museum of American History is the Greensboro, North Carolina, lunch counter where four students staged a sit-in that inspired civil rights activists across the South. This interactive theater commemorates the historic sit-in allowing audiences to take part in a civil rights “training session” at the lunch counter. The twenty-minute program is based on an actual 1960s civil rights training manual.
