The museum's annual Hawaiian Cultural festival for 2019 celebrates the life and legacy of King Kamehameha – respected Native Hawaiian warrior, leader, and diplomat – who united the Hawaiian Islands into a royal kingdom in 1810. In this video, Manu Boyd gives a lecture titled He Hoʻohiwahiwa no Paiʻea Kamehameha (a tribute to honor King Kamehameha I).
