- The sixth Living Earth Festival continues to inform the public about issues of environmental concern and focuses on traditional agricultural practices, renewable energy, green technology, living healthy, active lifestyles, and the importance of Native foods in our diets, while also including celebration through music and dance. In this segment, the local Guatemalan folk music group, GuateMarimba, perform music for dance performances by another local cultural group, Grupo AWAL, who express aspects of the Mayan cultures of Guatemala. This performance was recorded in the Potomac atrium of the National Museum of the American Indian on the second day of the three-day festival, July 18, 2015.
