- Ronald Rael joined us for our Diseño Lecture series to talk about his work with architectural design firm Rael San Fratello and Emerging Objec. He is a researcher, design activist, author, and thought leader in the fields of additive manufacturing and earthen architecture. Following the lecture was a discussion with Patricio del Real, Assistant Professor of History of Art and Architecture at Harvard University and co-curator of the exhibition Latin America in Construction: Architecture 1955-1980 at the Museum of Modern Art. Several works from Emerging Objects are on view now in The Senses: Design Beyond Vision. This program received federal support from the Latino Initiatives Pool, administered by the Smithsonian Latino Center.
