A Cold Drive
Transportation-Related
I was working registered mail and they had valuables that they had to send over from Norwich, Ohio, which was about 35 miles away. That was in January and I drove over in the station wagon to pick it up. As a matter of fact, one of the star route drivers said that we could follow him because he knew the route. We picked up WGN in Chicago, it was so cold we could bring it in, and they had really been bombarded with snow that year. I remember that trip to Norwich being particularly cold. We didn’t have all that much snow. We got those valuable coins back to Columbus.
