Join the United States Postal Service and the National Postal Museum for a heartwarming celebration at the Smithsonian’s National Postal Museum Holiday Stamps Family Festival, as we reveal two new holiday-themed stamps.

Perfect for families and stamp enthusiasts alike, this event promises to ignite the holiday spirit with fun, education and community.

These events are free to attend and open to the public. National Postal Museum doors open at 10 a.m. for public entrance and close at 5:30 p.m.

Event details:

• 10:30 a.m. – Dedication and unveiling ceremony for the Christmas Madonna and Child stamp.
• 11:00 a.m. – Dedication and unveiling ceremony for the Holiday Joy stamps.

Autographing with ceremony speakers, retail stamp sales and cancellations will be available.

Holiday Stamps Family Festival with Guest Artist Katie Kirk

11:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

This onsite program is designed for learners of all ages, especially families with young children.

The winter holidays have come to the Museum early this year! Come and meet Guest Artist Katie Kirk in person while we celebrate the new 2024 Christmas stamps issued by the Postal Service. There will be crafts, games, and all sorts of winter holiday family fun.

Registration is not required for the family festival.
