In early 2006, comic book writer and editor Jason Rodriguez stumbled across a used postcard at an antique shop in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The card was sent from a young man to his mom, just before he shipped out to fight in World War II. Jason wondered if this was the last time the mother heard from her son and, if so, why was it on sale at an antique store for 25 cents. This thought drove Jason to collect thousands of used postcards, and in 2007 he edited a comic book anthology that attempted to bring potential stories behind these postcards to life. At this talk, Jason will be talking about some of the lives he has come across while collecting used postcards and how these lives helped him to achieve one of his own life goals.
