On August 21, 1923, Burr Winslow flew on the first coast-to-coast experimental day and night airmail service, carrying the mail from San Francisco to Reno. He carried the mail from San Francisco to Reno. Winslow took off from Crisey Field in California at 5:50 a.m., landing in Reno with 64 pounds of first-class mail at 7:46 a.m.
