Our Holiday season really starts in September. It starts early and just gets really bad in the later months. That’s why the Postal Service hires the temporary people to help get it out but, the thing about hiring temporary people is that, they have to be able to follow verbal directions. You don’t have to take a test to get in we could hire you straight off of the streets as long as you could follow a verbal direction. We aren’t going to give you anything that you can’t do, but if I tell you to take this mail over there to dock so and so, that’s what you do. You need to at least know your numbers and the alphabet. Some people have made it high in the Postal Service just from doing the simple stuff. I would never encourage anyone to do temporary work, bottom line, you want a career.
