In the beginning, it was the Post Office and nobody else. There was no UPS, there was no FedEx. In the beginning you knew, as a part time flexible that, come Thanksgiving time, you’d be working till at least New Years Eve without a day off, that was continuous. They might work you at least 12 hours, sometimes longer depending, and your families knew that so it changed everything. It made for great Christmases because you had extra money as a worker, but you weren’t home to celebrate a lot
