Graf Zeppelin Schlesien Flight postcard
Object Details
- Description
- The LZ127 Graf Zeppelin dropped this card over Liegnitz on its Schlesien flight. This postcard, which depicts Count Zeppelin on the reverse, has the new red zeppelin flight cachet and pays the new 50 pfg zeppelin rate, tied by the onboard cancel. The black oval zeppelin cachet was made by the Sieger company. The Liegnitz arrival postmark verifies this as one of the forty-one items dropped.
