- Description
- A 20 centime Swiss postal card carried by the LZ127 Graf Zeppelin on its November 2 flight to Switzerland. The card bears a 50 centime Swiss airmail stamp and a regular 5 centime stamp all tied by a special red postal cachet featuring a zeppelin and inscribed "Zeppelinpost Schweizerflug 2.XI.29" ("Zeppelin mail Swiss flight November 2, 1929"). The card was dropped near Frauenfeld, Switzerland, and later that day received a St. Gallen postmark dated November 2, 1929. The card also bears an arrival postmark in Heiden, Switzerland, dated November 3, 1929.
