- Description
- Picture postcard carried by the LZ127 Graf Zeppelin on its April 22, 1930, flight from Friedrichshafen to Bonn. Two 50 Reichspfennig German airmail stamps are tied with an onboard postmark dated April 22, 1930. An oval confirmation cachet "Mit Luftschiff Graf Zeppelin befördert" ("Carried by airship Graf Zeppelin") has been applied in red. The card also bears a Bonn postmark dated April 22, 1930, as well as an orange airmail etiquette inscribed "Mit Luftpost/Par Avion." A private two-line cachet reading "Mit Luftschiff Graf Zeppelin 1" has also been affixed.
- The photo side of the postcard shows the landing crew turning the zeppelin before walking it into the hangar at Friedrichshafen.
