- Description
- This registered airmail postcard from Monaco to Asuncion, Paraguay, was posted October 17, 1932. The sender used sixteen Monaco stamps (block of four 1.05F on face + seven 75c, four 50c and one 5c on reverse), totaling F11.50, and a black/gray airmail etiquette.
- From Monaco, the cover went by surface to Friedrichshafen to connect with Graf Zeppelin. Cover dispatch postmarked Friedrichshafen October 24, 1932, the day of departure, flown on the LZ-127 Graf Zeppelin ninth 1932 South America Flight and received the special orange flight cachet for this flight. After arrival in Recife, Brazil, on October 27, 1932, the cover was forwarded via Condor air service to Buenos Aires and by surface to Asuncion, arriving October 5, 1932.
- The cover was shortpaid by F0.50. The rates were F1.50 international letter rate + F2.00 registration + F8.50 Zeppelin surcharge to South America to total F12.00 (the registration fee went up from F1.50 to F2.00 August 20, 1932).
